Since I came on the scene in 1953, I have been one of the most well-known mascots in college sports. I have seen the University of Kansas grow into a world class educational institution with a first-rate athletic department. I have seen the Jayhawks win several national championships and cheered them on every step of the way with the help of the Kansas Spirit Squad and the Marching Jayhawks.
One of the best things to come my way was in 1971 when my pal, Baby Jay, was hatched during the homecoming football game. Since then, we have been the best of friends. Now, you can find both of us at any athletic event, cheering on one of the greatest college teams out there. Beak ‘Em Hawks!
